This has been my “Happiness” video for the past few months, via @RowanBristol.
World Order is hard for me to explain, as it’s technically a J-pop “boy band”, but it’s really not in many respects.
Genki Sudo and his crew have been doing this for a while, since way back when he was a Mixed Martial Arts champion. The sort of hyper-choreographed extreme precision dance moves are World Order’s signature, and you watch these videos, thinking they’re slowed down or sped up or time-lapsed… and then people walk into the background. And then you see another video that’s on location with everyone trying to take pictures on their phone, or recognizing them and doing some moves alongside them. And then you see the video of them doing three routines on stage while the other performers of that festival (other J-pop groups with their own choreography) absolutely losing their shit in disbelief of what they’re watching.
And through it all, World Order keeps it simple. We are all one. Every video, every routine has the same message, the same sense of togetherness.
These videos make me happy to just watch.
This is AMAZING.
